The Louisville Historical Museum will be hosting a March 15 talk by Doug Conarroe featuring the history of the prominent coal companies that owned most of the coal mines in Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, Superior and Marshall. The talk is titled “Coal Giants: History of United Coal Co., Northern Coal Co. and Rocky Mountain Fuel Co.” and will start at 7 p.m. at the Louisville Public Library, 951 Spruce Street in Louisville.
